Audit Log

An unchangeable record of every important action — who did what, and when.

1

What is this?

The audit log records every significant action in your system — voids, refunds, discounts, price changes, timecard edits, stock adjustments. Each entry shows who did it, when, and the details. It cannot be edited or deleted.
2

What problem does it solve?

Without an audit trail, a dishonest staff member can void orders and pocket the cash with no trace. A manager can change timecards without anyone knowing. The audit log makes everything visible and accountable.

How to set it up

  1. 1Go to Dashboard → Audit Log
  2. 2Browse the list — newest entries are at the top
  3. 3Filter by action type or date range to find specific events
  4. 4Review entries — each shows the actor, timestamp, and details of what changed

Pro tip

Check the audit log weekly for voids and refunds. A high void rate on one staff member's shifts could indicate a problem. It's not about distrust — it's about having the data to have a fair conversation.
