Expense Categories
Create your own chart of accounts — organize costs your way.
1
What is this?
Expense categories are the labels you use to group your costs — Rent, Utilities, Marketing, Maintenance, Staff Meals, etc. You define them yourself so they match how your business actually works. They show up as a breakdown in your P&L.
2
What problem does it solve?
Without categories, all expenses are lumped together. You can see you spent ฿150,000 on 'stuff' but have no idea how much was rent vs. marketing vs. repairs. Categories turn a useless number into actionable insight.

How to set it up
- 1Go to Dashboard → Expense Categories
- 2Click Add Category
- 3Enter a name (and optionally a Thai name) and pick a color
- 4Save — this category is now available when logging expenses

Pro tip
Start with 5-7 categories that cover 90% of your spending: Rent, Utilities, Marketing, Repairs, Supplies, Staff Meals, Other. You can always add more later — too many categories early on just slows down data entry.
