Expenses

Log rent, utilities, and every other cost — so your P&L tells the full story.

1

What is this?

Expenses is where you record all your non-food costs — rent, electricity, water, gas, marketing, repairs, cleaning supplies. These feed directly into your monthly Profit & Loss report so you can see the true cost of running the business.
2

What problem does it solve?

Without logging expenses, your P&L only shows food cost and revenue. You might think you're profitable because food cost is 28%, but once rent and utilities are factored in, you're actually losing money. Expenses complete the picture.

Pro tip

Set a reminder to log fixed expenses (rent, subscriptions) on the 1st of each month. It takes one minute and means your P&L is always up to date.
