Modifiers

Add-ons and customizations — extra cheese, no onion, spice level.

1

What is this?

Modifiers are the options your customers can choose when ordering — like spice level, protein choice, extra toppings, or 'no onion.' You create modifier groups (e.g., 'Spice Level') with individual options (Mild, Medium, Hot), then attach them to menu items.
2

What problem does it solve?

Without modifiers, staff have to type notes for every customization. The kitchen gets inconsistent instructions. There's no way to charge for extras. And your sales data can't tell you that 80% of your customers want extra cheese.

How to set it up

  1. 1Go to Dashboard → Modifiers
  2. 2Click Add Modifier Group (e.g., 'Spice Level')
  3. 3Add options within the group — name each one and set a price delta if it costs extra (e.g., Extra Cheese +฿20)
  4. 4Set whether it's single-select (pick one) or multi-select (pick many), with min/max rules
  5. 5Save — then go to a recipe and attach this modifier group to it

Pro tip

Create a 'Protein Choice' modifier for dishes that offer chicken/pork/beef/tofu. Set different price deltas for each. It's cleaner than having separate menu items for each protein.
