Outlet Config
Set your tax rate and service charge — the numbers on every receipt.
1
What is this?
Outlet configuration is where you set the financial rules for each location — your VAT/tax percentage, whether tax is inclusive or exclusive, and your service charge rate. These numbers automatically apply to every order on the POS.
2
What problem does it solve?
Without this, your POS doesn't know your tax rate. Receipts show wrong totals, your revenue numbers are off, and you may not be collecting the right amount of tax. Setting this up correctly once means every transaction is right.

How to set it up
- 1Go to Dashboard → Outlet Config
- 2Select your location
- 3Enter your tax name (e.g., VAT), percentage (e.g., 7%), and whether it's inclusive or exclusive
- 4Set a service charge if you apply one (e.g., 10% Service Charge)
- 5Save — every POS order at this location now uses these settings

Pro tip
If you're unsure about inclusive vs. exclusive tax: inclusive means the menu price already includes tax (customer pays ฿100, you owe ฿6.54 in tax). Exclusive means tax is added on top (customer pays ฿107). Most Southeast Asian restaurants use inclusive.
