POS Roles
Control who can void, discount, or access reports on the POS.
1
What is this?
POS roles define what each staff member can do on the terminal. A Cashier can take orders and process payments. A Manager can void items, apply discounts, and view reports. You control the permissions for each role.
2
What problem does it solve?
Without roles, either everyone can do everything (risky — any staff can void orders and pocket the cash) or nobody can do anything without calling the manager. Roles give the right level of access to the right people.

How to set it up
- 1Go to Dashboard → POS Roles
- 2Review the default roles (Owner, Manager, Cashier, Staff) or create a custom one
- 3Toggle permissions for each role — voids, discounts, refunds, report access, settings access
- 4Save — staff logging into the POS with their PIN get the permissions of their assigned role

Pro tip
Lock down voids and discounts to Manager-level and above. If a cashier needs to void something, they call the manager who enters their PIN to authorize it. This creates an audit trail and prevents theft.
